Designed to be flexible and meet carrier grade management requirements Horizon and AirPair use industry standards and proprietary MIBs to monitor radio and network parameters to integrate directly into any SNMP management environment. Management traffic may be carried in-band directly and optionally over an 802.1q VLAN.
In-service remote software download is available on all DragonWave wireless Ethernet systems and links do not have to be decommissioned during the upgrade. As a result, customer traffic is not affected during the download/upgrade.
Both Horizon and AirPair can be managed either locally or remotely. However, given that these are wireless point-to-point product typically installed on towers and rooftops, the day-to-day management of these systems is normally done remotely.
