Designed to be flexible and meet carrier grade management requirements, Horizon solutions use industry standards and proprietary MIBs to monitor radio and network parameters in order to integrate directly into any SNMP management environment. Management traffic may be carried in-band directly and optionally over an 802.1q VLAN.
In-service remote software download is available on all DragonWave packet microwave systems and links do not have to be decommissioned during the upgrade. As a result, customer traffic is not affected during the download/upgrade.
Horizon solutions can be managed either locally or remotely. However, given that these are wireless point-to-point products typically installed on towers and rooftops, day-to-day management is normally done remotely.
